Bayabas or guava leaves is our native plant used traditionally by indigenous Filipino tribes in ceremonies, religious rites and for purifying negative energies with smoke (“Pausok” our local term for smudging).
Our Bayabas leaves are harvested with care and intention from our backyard tree in the province of La Union. Each stick is hand-rolled with local calendula flowers. These sticks are a local alternative to the widely used sage and palo santo sticks.
Benefits of Smoke Cleansing with Bayabas:
- cleanses spaces and items from negative energies
- healing, calming, balancing
- purifies the aura
- improves air quality, for those suffering from asthma, allergies,
- connects us Filipinos with our ancestors and our native land
